Description of the position:

Apprentice Sommelier f/m/d – Michelin Star – 4 days on/3 days off

This is a fantastic time for an Apprentice Sommelier to join this Michelin-starred forward-thinking creative restaurant offering modern fine dining combined with a high level of personable, professional service. The contemporary interior revolves around a refurbished state-of-the-art induction Open Kitchen and a Private Dining room with its own wine cellar.
The restaurant is open Wednesday through to Saturday and offers a favorable four-day working week – to combine a work-life balance and will be delighted for a career-driven Apprentice Sommelier to join our dedicated Front of House Team.
The Artichoke is set in the beautiful Old Town of Amersham and features award-winning, innovative cuisine.
Awards also include AA Restaurant of the Year England 2013/14, Three AA Rosettes, Best New Entry The Good Food Guide 2010, and AA Exceptional Wine List 2023

This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your sommelier training with an AA Exceptional Wine List and supported WSET Levels 1 and 2 will be offered for the right dedicated candidate.
The successful Apprentice Sommelier candidate should have the following qualities:
• A strong interest in wines, spirits, and mixology.
• Than ability to learn and develop a high level of wine service and wine matching
• Wine cellar and bar housekeeping skills.
• Well, presented with personality, charisma, and excellent communication skills.
• You should have a love of fine wine and food and deliver outstanding customer service.
• Highly motivated to be a part of an existing well-established and driven team.

Education: No former wine education is required
