Who We Are AND WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR IN OUR SOMMELIER:

We are looking for an ambitious Sommelier/Wine Bar person to take our guests to Fairytale experiences at Sjømagasinet and inspire our team to get to the next level.
For the last 13 years, we have served locals and tourists exceptional seafood and good wine. and as all teenagers looking for the next step, so are we. Sjømagasinet is looking for more talented people to take us further as a team.
We spend the last years upgrading the restaurant, with a new interior and upgraded the restaurant with a wine bar, where you will be the center of attention. Your stage will be the wine bar and around our new Lounge centered around a fireplace. We are looking for a smiling and vibrant Sommelier/wine savage person with hospitality in heart to greed, inspire, and Wau! our guest away.
As a Sommelier, you will work closely with the Management team to ensure our wine program is up to standard. You will be coordinating orders of wine, and working tighter together with the kitchen and team to find the best possible wine and food combination for our wine packages.
Create tasting flights for guests and themed tastings. Be the key person for Beverage related inquiries and tasks. Coordinate details for winemakers’ dinners, and events, not only for wine but within all beverage fields.
Your daily work will be in the wine bar and assisting in the restaurant with the wine sale. During dinner service, you will be a crucial part of the restaurant team. And it´s important that you keep up with trends and new vintages and participate in tastings with our partners
About you:
• Well trained and experienced in similar positions, fine dining/or Winebar is a plus.
• High competence in etiquette and making guest feels welcome, Ambitions and curious is a plus
• Like to spread joy and energy to colleagues and guest
• A person getting things done
• Are reliable, honest, and responsible
• Great attention to details
• Knowledgeable and genuinely interested in food and wine
• Good collaboration skills and is solution-oriented
• Genuinely interested in creating the best guest experience
