Shifts: Saturday, September 6 one shift ○ 12:00 p.m. - 9:30 p.m.

Position Overview: We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier Serving Staff to join our team for Wie Fest Toronto. As a member of our sommelier teamf, you will have the unique opportunity to engage with guests, share your expertise, and help create a remarkable tasting experience. Your role will involve providing exceptional service, guiding guests through our diverse selection of wines, and ensuring a welcoming and educational environment. If you are studying to become a sommelier, or a sommelier graduate, we would love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities:

● Assist guests in selecting wines that complement their tastes and preferences

● Provide key information particularly highlighting the characteristics and unique qualities of D.O. Rueda wines (all notes provided)

● Serve beverages in accordance with event standards and maintain a high level of professionalism.

● Set up and maintain tasting station, ensuring cleanliness and organization throughout the event.

● Engage with guests to create a memorable and educational experience, emphasizing the attributes of D.O. Rueda wines.

● Collaborate with fellow staff members and event organizers to ensure smooth operations.

● Assist with inventory management, including restocking and organizing products as needed

● And have fun! We are excited to be showcasing wines from Rueda, and having you on our team!

Qualifications:

● Certification as a sommelier or in school for with an extensive knowledge of wines; bonus if you have an understanding of D.O. Rueda wines

● Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a fine dining or event setting.

● Exceptional customer service and communication skills.

● Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

● Strong attention to detail and a commitment to providing high-quality service.

● Ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy boxes or cases if required.

● Enthusiasm for sharing knowledge and passion for wines with guests.
