Your Role as Sommelier

Sommelier Position at Kvitnes Gård

Join our team at Kvitnes Gård as a Sommelier, where you will contribute to an outstanding wine and beverage program while embracing the beauty of nature and farm life.

Your Responsibilities:

• Wine & Beverage Expertise
  • Curate and manage our wine list, featuring top European producers with a strong focus on Champagne, Burgundy, Rhône, and German Rieslings.
  • Guide guests through the wine selection process, offering expert recommendations to enhance their dining experience.
  • Maintain and optimize the wine cellar, ensuring proper inventory management and continuous improvement.
  • Develop an exceptional beverage pairing program, including innovative non-alcoholic pairings crafted from local berries and herbs.
• Farm & Nature Engagement
  • As we are a living farm, you will also get to help out with farmwork at times of the year when needed.
  • Participate in seasonal farm activities, such as:
    • Feeding lambs in the spring.
    • Planting and harvesting vegetables.
    • Foraging wild herbs in the mountains and seaweed along the shore.
  • Embrace a farm-to-table philosophy by working closely with our kitchen team and local producers.
