Position Overview
We are seeking a Head Sommelier for the upcoming season
The role reports directly to the Restaurant Manager
The ideal candidate is passionate about luxury hospitality and delivering authentic guest experiences
Key Responsibilities:
Anticipate guest needs and professionally handle complaints, ensuring a personalised luxury experience
Deliver service in line with company standards and brand values
Collaborate with the Restaurant Manager on staff development and training
Develop and curate special wine-focused events
Manage wine inventory, stock levels, and requisitions
Control beverage costs, margins, and prevent waste
Collaborate with the Bar Manager on wine selection
Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
Take full responsibility for banqueting wine orders and consumption
Requirements:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in the same role within the luxury hotel industry
Experience in fine dining required (Michelin experience is a plus)
Fluency in English and Italian; third language preferred
AIS or FISAR Sommelier certification
Strong knowledge of Italian cuisine and Italian & international wines
HACCP certification
Excellent communication skills, emotional intelligence, adaptability, and team spirit
Contract & Benefits:
Seasonal labour contract according to C.C.N.L. Settore Turismo – Level 2 (Head Sommelier)
Contract period: March 2026 – January 2027, with the aim of long-term collaboration and career development
Monthly gross salary: approx. €3,000, plus separate payslips for 13th, 14th salary and TFR
Accommodation in the staff house, including breakfast
Bus ticket provided for the duration of the contract
